Strategic Air and Space Museum
Overview
Formerly known as the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Museum, the Strategic Air & Space Museum aims in preserving the history of the Strategic Air Command and its role in securing peace.
What You'll See
The Museum is a 300,000 square foot building that features a glass atrium, two aircraft display hangars, a traveling exhibit area, a children's interactive gallery, a 200-seat theater, a Museum store, an aircraft restoration gallery, and a snack bar. The glass atrium is a breathtaking structure constructed of 525 glass panels that encase the awesome Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird.
Public Tours Dates and Times
9:00am to 5:00pm Daily. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and Easter holidays. Adults admission is $14.00, Senior Citizens is $11.00, and Children (4-12) is $7.00
How to Get There
The Museum is situated just off of Interstate 80 at the exit 426 interchange, midway between the Nebraska cities of Omaha and Lincoln.
