Titan II LR87 Stage 1 Engine

Stage 1 burned until it ran out of propellant (about 2 1/2 minutes), then was jettisoned as stage 2 ignited. The engine consumed about 25,000 gallons (96,000 I) of propellant, or about 170 gallons (640 1) per second, boosted the missile to an altitude of about 50 miles (80 km) and propelled it about 50 miles north toward the target.
