Mk 101 Lulu

The U.S. Navy Mk 101 Lulu was a small implosion-type nuclear depth bomb. The Lulu exploded at a depth and time that allowed the delivery aircraft to escape.

The Lulu was developed in response to a Soviet submarine fleet buildup. The Lulu functioned as an anti-ship weapon and it could inflict lethal damage to submerged high-speed submarines.

The Lulu carried the W34 nuclear warhead.
