Little Boy Replica

Due to the size of the B-29 Superfortress, only portions of the restored plane could be displayed in the gallery room at the National Air and Space Museum. Later, the entire plane would be reassembled and put on display at the Udvar-Hazy Center.

While the exhibit generated tremendous amounts of controversy about how the plane was displayed, the curators did include a replica of the Little Boy bomb.
